Newsletter July 2018

As another academic year draws to a close, we sadly have to say goodbye to Rupert, Jasper, Teo, Joshua, John, Jack, Evan, Harry and James who all start BIG school in September. We have loved getting to know you all, all your loves and hates, all your personalities and will miss the friendships that have been created over your time with us. Good luck in everything you undertake!

Staffing changes
It is with regret, that we have to tell you that Lara Mitchell has decided to resign from her post as Deputy Manager. She decided that for personal reasons the post was not for her.

Chris Cale is also leaving and we wish him well for his future retirement and would like to thank him for all he has done.

We can tell you that we are delighted to say that we have secured Kathryn Norgrove on a permanent contract for two days per week as Associate Manager. Kath will be producing and emailing out invoices in future, and deal with all Nursery Education funding queries from August onwards.

Kath will work alongside Pippa Goodman when she returns later this year. We send Pippa our heartfelt condolences on the passing of three close family members earlier this year.

Fire Exit
The trustees have been receiving quotes to fix the side fire escape. Whilst unsafe for daily use, this exit would be used in an emergency should the need arise. Work will be carried out in July to completely replace it.

We are having a PARTY for the end of term on Thursday July 19th at 12.30pm. ALL children are welcome to attend. We will put a food list on the main door for donations.

Spare clothes
Please make sure that your child always has a set of spare clothes on their peg. This is for a number of reasons, toileting accidents, outdoor play and water play. If you have any unwanted items for our clothing stock please pass them to a member of staff. Thank you.

Sun cream
Please remember to send your child with a sunhat. Sun cream should be applied before they come to Nursery. Thank you.

Green fingered people – we NEED your help!
Can you please spare an hour to help clear and give our garden and pathways some much needed love? Any time that you can spare would be gratefully accepted! I’m afraid we have no gardening tools here so you would need to bring your own. Please let Kath know if you can help us. Many thanks in advance.

Muddy Puddle Walk
Thank you for your kind donations to this fundraiser for Save the Children. We raised £86.25. Well done!

Term ends on Tuesday 24th July. If any of you would like your children to attend extra session during the summer holidays, please book in with Kath or Katrina before July 20th.

Have a great summer and we will see you again on Sept 3rd for the start of Autumn Term!
